Rabies Vaccination
The new owner is required
to have the animal vaccinated by a veterinarian of their
choice. A certificate of vaccination is required within 30
days of adoption.
Exceptions:
The total amount may be reduced if the pet
is already spayed or neutered. The fee may be higher if the pet
required specialized veterinary care prior to adoption.
Occasionally, WHS has grants available that assist Senior
Citizens with adoption fees.
Application & References:
Our shelter strives to make sure that each
animal goes to a permanent, responsible and loving home.
Non-local adopters are required to provide references from your
veterinarian, local animal shelter, animal control agency, or
rescue group.
All pets are not ready to go home the
same day. They must spayed or neutered and micro chipped before
they are allowed to go home. This is a Texas state law.
